In 1920s Harlem, A’lelia Walker’s Dark Tower served as a cultural salon, hosting Black artists, writers, and intellectuals during the Harlem Renaissance. Today, digital platforms by and for Black womxn carry forward this legacy, proving that wherever Black womxn gather—be it in a Harlem salon or an online forum—these spaces remain vital sanctuaries of strength, solidarity, and self-expression.
